Admiration, especially, has a clarifying effect. To be seen warmly can feel like permission to expand. Isn’t that just relational physics? you move more fluidly when reflected back with care. But maybe we’re meant to trip and someone says. lol that happens to me yesterday. Let’s get up. The quieter question is how to carry some of that safety inside you, so that whether or not you’re being admired in a given moment, you can still enter those rooms and recognize them as yours.
