This clip touched my heart deeply. Loving someone who’s battling their own mind is one of the hardest things you’ll ever do. You see the goodness in them, you pray for them, and you hold on hoping love will be enough to pull them through. But when someone won’t accept help, or repeatedly says they will get help but never does, you find yourself breaking while trying to hold them together. What hurt most wasn’t just watching the decline — it was when he suddenly walked away without a goodbye and made me the villain in a story I was only ever trying to love him through. Even harder, was hearing doctors tell me his diagnoses and his family and best friend admit already knowing. Everything they shared in private they denied telling me in public to protect him. He did everything to destroy my character and question my integrity amongst his family, his friends and my friends. I chose not defend truth or reality and stayed silent for a long time, not out of guilt, but out of grace. Because sometimes protecting someone’s dignity also means carrying pain they’ll never acknowledge. I’ve lived that kind of love — the kind that teaches you compassion on a level words can’t explain. It also taught me that letting go doesn’t mean you stopped loving them; it means you started loving you enough to survive. Mental illness doesn’t make anyone unworthy of love — but it does remind us that healing has to be a shared journey, not a solo mission. My prayer is that more people get the help they need, and more hearts learn that choosing peace is also choosing love. 💛 #MentalHealth #mentalillness #healing #peace #message
