I always use it 8+ hours per day, 100% brightness, LG G4 55 inch OLED tv. Just use pixel cleaning everyday!

buying an OLED monitor is like buying a race car to daily drive. it might be a little faster on a track but it's impractical, expensive, fragile and sacrifices everything for just hdr gaming. so not worth it over mini led which looks 95% as good for everything OLED is good at with none of the drawbacks

3000h is nothing. I want to use my monitors for several years so they should still look fine after 15000h if not more.
I love my OLED TV but for a pc monitor it's just not the right technology

now do it with a LCD and you'll have even more burn in.
There's a OLED longevity burn in test on rtings which I recommend to anyone interested in that topic.

I know modern oleds are very good and almost never get burn in if you have the safety settings on but I have a oled laptop. It’s a Lenovo legion pro 7i gen 10. Do laptops have those same safety setting and are as good as monitors. I do notice oled retention when I’m using my laptop for like discord as a secondary screen but it goes away after like 20 min of being off. There isn’t any settings on the legion software for like pixel refresh and things like that which I why I’m hoping it’s automatically on. Does anyone know anything about it or have experience from it. It’s scared me so much that I leave brightness at 40-60% and I still do get retention but only slightly and only seen on a gray screen

Monitors Unboxed are doing a similar test and their burn in is super minor and theyre not using any mitigation tech. if we use the pixel shift/cleaning tech and make sure to add a screen saver these monitors will last for years. ive had mine for about a year and only experienced image retention which was solved by pixel cleaning. such a cool display!

3000 hours using only 3 programs, on a monitor with no pixel shift, and you still can’t see the burn in during usage. That is pretty damn good. If you’re just gonna be staring at word all day don’t get an OLED but if you’re a gamer, especially a AAA cinematic style gamer, OLED really is the way forward
