@seantravelonpoints: This is how to use Japan airlines mileage bank (JMB) to book Japan Airlines Business class. As a reminder, capital one has a transfer bonus to Japan Airlines until the end of Feb 2026, making this a 1000:975 ratio (normally 1000:750). Also, bilt still transfers to JAL at 1:1 ratio. Important steps: 1. Use Award calendar on your JMB account to find dates with lowest price (normally 55k miles is the lowest price for business class one way from US to Japan). 2. Once you’ve found a date/price you like, calculate the amount of points you need to transfer. If transferring from Capital one during the transfer bonus, divide by .975. So a 55k flight on JAL would cost 57k capital one miles, plus the $200 in fees. 3. Transfer points (usually happens pretty quickly like in minutes from my experience) and book!
