‼️Safety note! Stepping or skating on ice is never completely safe. Everyone featured in this video wore proper safety gear and was part of an experienced group knowledgeable about wild ice safety. Before going on the ice, we performed a proper ice check. Even after doing so, it’s important to understand that ice thickness can vary across different areas. Everyone had ice picks and was experienced with cold water submersion, including the knowledge required to self-rescue if falling through the ice. We also had ropes and additional safety equipment on hand, such as a reaching pole, and had life vests nearby.
