It’s bc formula takes longer to digest so they don’t have to wake frequently to eat. You can try feeding on both sides and see if that helps him sleep longer stretches

we combo feed bc I'm an under producer and she has basically slept through the night since birth. either we wake her to eat or she wakes on her own, takes a bottle, and passes right back out!

if you want them to be fuller longer and get more calories do 3 oz bm and a scoop of formula that’s what my pedi recommended and it works amazing!

You can always just make his last bottle of the day formula so he sleeps in the night. My baby goes back-and-forth between breastmilk and formula because I don’t produce enough. He’s completely fine with swapping back-and-forth.

my breastfed babies both sleep 12 hours straight so it really just depends on the kid lol. i'm glad your little one slept good though!

I have 5 kids and decided number 5 would be breastfed. Why? Don’t ask me. She never took to a bottle and straight up refused so she’s on me 24/7. She never liked a pacifier either. She’s 17 months old and still wakes up twice a night to eat. I’m TIREDD
