I think he does love her, but in order to create his utopia, he can’t have the reincarnation of decay and disease running around. Youre telling me that miquellas a bad person cuz he “kidnapped mohg”, despite being entirely unconscious and in an egg on the other side of the continent, and mohgs the one who stole the egg. Also, being someones consort doesnt at all involve marriage, being a consort is almost always just a political move. Malenia is shown to have always been on miquellas side, since they were children, and theres no evidence to suggest she was charmed. He brainwashed people that already believed he would be a new, better god than marika (aside from ansbach), the charm hardly changed anything besides ensuring his supporters didnt start killing each other. Abandoning his love and empathy was the only way to ascend to godhood, he had to choice in order to make the world a better place.

I kinda wish we actually could see miquella in the dlc before final fight, like talk to him or smth. I liked his whole pilgrimage thing but the parts he discarded were kinda random, like I think it said his arm twice and like forearm without doing anything for some of the other body parts yk?
