@pb.money0: 15 money rules I live by Most people don’t struggle with money because they’re irresponsible. They struggle because they don’t have clear rules to follow. These are the simple money rules I follow to stay stable, save consistently, and build wealth over time. Follow these rules for the next year and your life will transform 1. Live below my means. If I earn more, that doesn’t automatically mean I spend more. 2. Eat at home most of the time. Restaurant spending adds up fast. Home-cooked meals keep my budget under control. 3. Investments and savings get paid first. I treat saving like a bill, not an afterthought. 4. Don’t use a debit card. I use credit responsibly for protection and pay it off in full every month. 5. Don’t carry credit card balances. Interest is the fastest way to erase financial progress. 6. No impulse purchases. If it’s not planned, it usually isn’t worth it. 7. Find inexpensive hobbies. Not every form of fun needs to be expensive. 8. Always keep a buffer of 3–6 months of expenses. An emergency fund protects me from life’s surprises. 9. Don’t touch that emergency fund unless it’s a real emergency. Not for vacations. Not for shopping. Only for true emergencies. 10. No DoorDash or Uber Eats. Convenience is expensive, and those small orders add up quickly. 11. If it’s not planned, it’s not spent. Every dollar has a job before I use it. 12. Never invest money I might need soon. Short-term money stays in savings, not the market. 13. Don’t spend to impress people. Most people aren’t thinking about what I’m driving, wearing, or buying. 14. Spend intentionally, not emotionally. Money decisions made in stress or boredom usually lead to regret. 15. Increase contributions when income increases. When I earn more, my savings and investing go up first. Money gets easier when you don’t have to rethink every decision. You just follow your rules. Follow me for practical budgeting and investing tips that make money feel less stressful and more manageable. #budgetingforbeginners #moneysavingtips #personalfinancetips #investingforbeginners #financialliteracy
