I was a strong enemy of mascara, everything else just no mascara. For like 2 years, then my cousin took me aside and told me I looked like a chameleon. It looked just terrible.💀

In 7th grade.. electric blue eyeliner with blue eyeshadow, … wait for it.. electric blue mascara!! I have blue eyes, it only made sense! 😂 my mother was very smart and took me to a professional makeup artist that I loved.. I remember her wise words.. don’t ever do that again!!! lol

Oh I was a teenager in the BRIGHT Sparkly BLUE eye shadow era. Full lid to eyebrow. Took me a couple of years until I learned about neutral eye shadows!

That’s so funny! I love it! I remember when my daughter was first playing around with makeup, she would layer so much lipstick that it would clump up on her mouth 😳😄 instead of over correcting her. I just let her figure it out through trial and error and now she does absolutely stunning makeup.

went to catholic school and there was NO makeup allowed!! well I used a tinted lip stain or long lasting lipstick...something that lasted! when they called me out on it, I said it was medicated chapstick!! 😳😳 no one believed me.

i was really into goth makeup when I was like 14 but didn't know how to do it. i saw this one girl who had filled in her eyebrows with black which looked good on her, but she had the correct shape of eyebrow and I did not, so I just filled in my ENTIRE brow with black eyeliner and went to school like that every day.

I am a 58yo woman who learned a better method for foundation by watching a 20yo KPop Idol (male, natch LOL) and my foundation looks so much better and I wish I had learned decades ago. Oh, and I have used watercolor pencils as eyeliner in the 80’s because my mom would only let me have “natural” colors.

I used to do my makeup with colored pencils. I would soak them in warm water overnight and then when I would get up I'd use like a navy blue, one for eyeliner and then a black one for mascara and then like a pink one for lipstick and a lighter pink for blush. my therapist thought I was crazy

I grew up in the 80’s so blue eyeshadow was a must lol 😂. Only black liner and mascara existed and would could into boots store on Saturdays in uk and try all of the makeup that didn’t exist! 😂
