Byzantium is so slept on. I love it almost as much as Interview with the Vampire, which was my formative Vampire film. Thirst is also incredibly good and underrated to hell.

i know you’ve already seen it, but thirst is soooo elite. tae-ju is one of the most complex women characters pcw and chung seo-kyung have ever written, she does bad things and by all technicalities can be seen as a bad person but the narrative NEVER judges her more than any of the men in the film. i highly recommend the director’s cut if you can find it, because it dives even deeper into her character than the theatrical version!

My biggest movie cringe is loving The Professional as a kid cause I had a crush on her, but as an dad of 3 the whole thing is just wrong and pretty nauseating to think adults back then thought it was appropriate.
