@tastespell: These potato cakes came from the potatoes left after extracting potato starch. From about 1.5 kg of potatoes, around 1 kg was left after rinsing. Instead of wasting them, we turned them into simple potato cakes. Grated potatoes mixed with eggs, grated onion, a little flour, salt and pepper, then fried slowly on homemade ghee until golden. Served with sour cream and spring onion. This is what cooking from scratch and using every bit looks like.🤌😍 Potato cakes (from leftover potatoes) About 1 kg grated potatoes (left after starch extraction) 1 onion, grated 3 eggs 3 tbsp plain flour Salt and pepper to taste Homemade ghee or oil for frying Mix grated potatoes and onion with eggs, flour, salt and pepper. Heat ghee in a pan over medium heat. Spoon the mixture into the pan, flatten slightly, and fry for 3–4 minutes on each side until golden and cooked through. Serve with sour cream and spring onion.
