It still hurts, man. I cannot even look at pictures of him without feeling so much anger and sorrow. I hate it so much.

His story is what radicalized me. I was so young at the time that 17 seemed almost grown until I turned 17. Now 25 and every time I think about him it breaks my heart more and more. He was a baby❤️

i remember my how devastated my mom was over his death. i was only 10 years old at the time so i didn’t understand it for what it was, but i just remember her crying and saying “he was just a kid who wanted some skittles” his death was so beyond unnecessary and evil.

That period was my first true glimpse of how racist people are… that they would support a man like George Z and fault a child. We would be in a different timeline if George Z were convicted for his crimes, it would have sent a different message to racist agitators.

Hes four years older than me. I was born and raised in FL so i was only 13 when it happened. I remember being terrified that it could be one of my brothers or even myself. I was scared to wear my hood up on my hoodies because i didnt want any body to think that I was up to something at any moment. I never told anybody that.

Trayvon Martin and Michael Brown are always on my mind; i'm so close in age with them. They deserved so much better, and Black people all over this country deserve better.

That was someone's baby. He would be a few months older than me, and yet here I sit, disgusted.
