@lppropane: How long will a 500-gallon propane tank last in cold weather? The answer depends on more than just tank size. Outdoor temperatures, thermostat settings, home size, insulation, and how propane is used all play a role. While a full tank can provide weeks or even months of heat, every home’s usage looks a little different. Planning ahead and understanding your propane needs can make all the difference when cold weather arrives. What factors matter most in your home? #Propane #lppropane #winterprep #residentialpropane #homeheating
500 to 700 gal. per winter in NC. 1800sq ft. house. when propane went over roughly $1.75 to $2 a gallon, propane lost its cost-effectiveness.

depends on how many degree days you have and how much BTUs you use. I use roughly 5 gallons a day on a normal winter day. very cold day I could go up to 13. in the summer I use .75 plus minus .25
