@simplyhealthymama: This is your sign to eat more sardines! Sardines are also a good source of quality protein, omega-3 fatty acids, and calcium. If you’re trying to get sardines into your diet and can’t enjoy them straight from the can, this is hands down my favorite way to enjoy them because it completely changes the texture and fishy taste! Crispy, salty, lemony on warm buttered sourdough = 🤌🏻 Crispy Broiled Sardines on Buttered Sourdough INGREDIENTS: 1 can sardines (in olive oil or lemon) Sourdough bread, toasted Grass-fed butter Salt + pepper Fresh lemon Instructions: 1. Toast your sourdough and spread with grass-fed butter. 2. Mash the sardines and lay them flat on a baking tray (or air fry!) 3. Sprinkle with salt and pepper. 4. Broil or airfry for 5–10 minutes until crispy and golden (watch closely). 5. Squeeze fresh lemon over the top. 6. Spoon onto your buttered toast and enjoy!! Trust me… it’s so good!! 😅🐟🍋
