HOW TO PLAY BACKGAMMON Here’s a checklist of the rules: THE GOAL * Move all 15 of your pieces off the board before your opponent does THE BOARD * The board has 24 triangles called points * You and your opponent move in opposite directions * The last 6 points on your side = your home board * The middle divider = the bar MOVING * Roll two dice and move your pieces forward that many points * You can split the dice between two pieces — or use both on one * Each die is its own move — you cannot combine them into one * You must be able to land on the intermediate point first * You can never skip a move — if you can play, you must play * Roll doubles?
