In the west, having a unique scent is desired to stand out. Most people bathe, it’s just a cultural difference. In the west, fragrances are treated the same as unique clothing styles in Japan.

We bathe AND we use fragrance. It’s not hiding body oder, it’s because we like the smell.

Fragrance is nothing to do with bathing 😭 i wear perfume all the time when i’m out. It’s just i love sweet smell and wanted that i smelled good. As a foreigner when traveling in japan I shouldn’t wear perfume? It’s kind of offending that it’s just perfume but japanese people will think that i did’nt bath at all 😭😭😭
