Vince was wrong to do continue the show but I’ve always been kinda skeptical that it was malicious. I think he just froze I don’t think he had any idea what to do. I can’t imagine being anyone back stage that night.

There was no correct thing to do in that situation when it comes to continuing the show or not. You need to realize that Vince and others were probably overtaken with shock as well. So with shock comes just going on autopilot of continuing what they know.

The right call would’ve been to end the show right there. In any other job - including the theatrical performances or an actual sports game - if a player dies or almost dies, the right call is to end the game right there. We saw it with the Buffalo Bills a couple years ago. I don’t think Vince was malicious but someone should’ve told him just end it. Owen should’ve never been up there in the first place.

We can judge in today’s world. Unless you were around then, it’s hard to say if it should’ve been stopped. They didn’t have the internet in their pockets. They didn’t want to cancel the show after the accident and cause a riot for upset fans. They didn’t want media to get ahold of the story before they could announce it themselves. That’s such a tough call to make. I genuinely believe they did the right thing by finishing the show and allowing the fans in attendance to go home safely and find out afterwards.

As much as i agree with owens wife about blocking wwe making any money from Owen, I do think she should allow him to be in the Hall of Fame but only if all proceeds from the HoF go to their charity along with a formal and public apology to the family and publicly accept responsibility.
