That’s a wise plan. Only other idea I’d have is something under the pinion to adjust the angle. Looks heavy!

You’ve got it about figured out the same as I had. I’ll cart the axle under by just using one jack just to the left of the pumpkin, jack it up and put bolts in the upper control arms, then use a 2nd jack to tilt the pinion up and get the lowers in. Sometimes I’ll use 1 or 2 ratchet straps to help locate the axle left-right, just tighten one and it’ll pull the axle that direction
