The trick is treat Aussie service staff the way American service staff treat customers - we swap roles - I'm dining, waiter is at work, I shall respect her/him for helping me have a good time 🥰 this will ensure your food arrives saliva-free

Our customer service is pretty good in general, people want to keep their jobs so they still have to be nice. I’ve only had a couple of average waiters in my life, I don’t want them constantly coming up to us either, let me eat mate🤣

Customer service is excellent in Australia. It's a mirror of the customers behaviour. As long as your respectful your service will be good and you know that person can feed their family without your money. You pay for your food only.

Service was pretty ordinary when I was in the US, almost like they’d hear an Aussie accent and not put any effort in because they know in Australia we don’t tip

I got over being “educated” on how to tip when in the USA, it was quite rude. The wait staff who lectured me didn’t get a tip
