@newsnationnow: Stanford junior Elsa Johnson published an exposé alleging students are claiming disabilities to secure better housing accommodations. Johnson joins “Katie Pavlich Tonight” to discuss the changes she hopes the university will make.
This is our future people, once Gen X dies off America is in trouble and probably will no longer exist as we know it today. America will no longer be a free nation.

I'm even seeing this on a middle school level. Parent totally believes that her child should be able to wander around the classroom the whole time because "he has ADHD and he has been traumatized."

My daughters college allowed accommodations for emotional support pets. Those are the nicest rooms on campus and all you need is a piece of paper saying your pet is registered with one of those scammy online certifications! 🤦🏻♀️

“Disability” scam is rampant at UCs too so they get extra time on tests. Schools need to do better at filtering & drawing the line on the sand. Having anxiety is not a disability 🙄

our son goes go to UTK. He has accommodations for housing, but we had to submit documents and forms from his neurologists and they had to be VERY specific about what accommodations were needed for specific issues and why. He had a 504 in high school but that doesn't follow to college so he has to work directly with professors to address issues, with Student Disability Services stepping in if needed. Perhaps Stanford needs go tighten the reigns of documentation if this is a big problem.

To get college accommodations on tests you have to have a doctor legally recognize your diagnosis. Is it possible people are lying to their doctor about their symptoms to get an ADHD diagnosis - yes. BUT usually colleges know this and will ask you how was this disability was accommodated to you while in high school and they can and will check with your high school

They do need to show medical records to support their claims. That’s not manipulation that’s self advocacy
