I used to marshall planes at FEDEX and DHL. It was a good adrenaline rush once the plane landed and started in on my ramp. The pilot REALLY do depend on the marshaller to see what they can't and get the aircraft parked at the exact spot in the ramp to line-up with the unload equipment and all of equipment necessary for them to arrive. The same goes for departure. They depend on you to see for them. I loved that job.
