@coach.rac: Do you show that you’re a Christian athlete by wearing crosses and Christian stuff, or by being Christ like? Here’s a list I wrote up of the marks of a True Christian Athlete. 1. Slow to anger. This is a big one. Bad call? Struck out? James 1:19–20 – “Be quick to listen, slow to speak, slow to anger…” 2. Talk more about teammate successes than your own Philippians 2:3 – Consider others more significant than yourselves 3. Handle success with humility 1 Corinthians 4:7 - everything is a gift! “For who sees anything different in you? What do you have that you did not receive? If then you received it, why do you boast as if you did not receive it?” 4. Be sincere and humble about your faith Matthew 6:1–6 Don’t practice righteousness to be seen 5. Use your platform to serve others 1 Peter 4:10 – Use your gifts to serve others “As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God’s varied grace:” 6. Hard working regardless of who sees. Work heartily unto the lord and not unto man. Work to please your father in heaven not to please your coaches or teammates

As someone in the stands, it definitely sticks out to me how people react, to bad calls or whatever it may be, whether it’s from the players or fellow viewers/people in the stands, speaks a lot about a person’s character how they hold and carry themselves throughout the good and the bad and seemingly justified reactions if that makes sense
