I went to a lipedema specialist in Harley street for my diagnosis. He said he doesn't like defining stages but if he had to classify mine he'd say late stage 1. This is what mine looks like. If I didn't watch my weight and workout as much as I do, all the areas I'm touching in this video would hold a lot more weight. He also pointed out that my bottom half is disproportionate compared to my top half which makes sense because my top half stays relatively toned even though I hardly train it as I focus mostly on my lower body (which I'll be adjusting soon). I'm sharing my journey because when I was younger, I felt lost. I felt like there was something wrong with me, and no matter what I did, it never fully went away (apart from I became severely underweight) which was a whole other problem. Just remember you're not alone, you're not to blame, and Lipedema is not the same as cellulite. Diet and exercise can help manage symptoms and progression, but they do not cure it.
