Imagine being able to enjoy your maternity leave without constantly worrying about maternity pay, rising bills and how you're going to make it all work. Because honestly... I spent far too much of my pregnancy and maternity leave carrying that mental load instead of just enjoying those precious first months. Looking back now... The mistake wasn't worrying about maternity pay. I think every mum does that. The mistake was convincing myself there was nothing I could do about it. So instead of looking for another option... I just kept telling myself, “We'll make it work somehow” “Everyone manages” “We'll just have to get through it” When I found out I was pregnant with my second, I knew I didn't want to spend another pregnancy feeling like that. I wanted to give myself another option. That's when I started learning about digital products and Canva. Things like planners, templates, invitations and checklists that people can download instantly. I started with ready-made products while I built confidence then started creating my own 🙌 I had absolutely no idea where this journey would take me. I just knew I couldn't keep doing nothing and hoping things would change. Fast forward to now... That one decision has allowed me to create extra income from home around my girls, extend my maternity leave AND reduce my working hours 🥹 And that's exactly why I share this. Not because I think every mum has to do what I did... But because I wish someone had shown me that mat pay wasnt my only option!
