@lowpolyshorts: After Orville, a Dutch cat named after aviator Orville Wright, was hit by a car in 2012, his owner, artist Bart Jansen, decided to memorialize him by transforming his taxidermied body into a radio-controlled drone. Jansen collaborated with engineer Arjen Beltman to attach rotors to the cat's four outstretched paws, creating the "Orvillecopter," which he described as a fitting tribute to Orville's love of chasing birds. The flying cat became a viral sensation and was exhibited at art festivals like the KunstRAI in Amsterdam, eventually leading Jansen to launch a "Copter Company" that produced other taxidermy drones, including a flying ostrich, a rat, and a jet-propelled shark.
