@sunnythefarmer: Once upon a time, most humans grew their own food.
We worked the land, ate fresh from the earth, moved our bodies daily, and lived connected to nature and community. Self-sufficiency kept us strong, grounded, and purposeful. Then came the industrial boom → factories, jobs, cities.
We traded dirt under our nails for concrete under our feet.
Now most of us live packed in dense urban jungles, dependent on corporations for every bite, every need. Supermarkets, processed foods, delivery apps — convenience at the cost of control. But this shift is quietly killing us: Sedentary lives → weak bodies, obesity, chronic disease
Disconnection from nature & real work → rising anxiety, depression, burnout
Ultra-processed diets → inflammation, poor gut health, foggy minds
Constant stress & isolation in crowds → eroded mental resilience
We've gained "efficiency" but lost vitality.
Our minds crave purpose, our bodies crave movement, our souls crave dirt and real food. Time to reclaim a piece of that old way — even in the city. Start small: grow herbs on your windowsill, join a community garden, choose local & whole foods.
Reconnect. Rebuild strength. One seed at a time. What small step are you taking toward more self-sufficiency? Drop it below!
