Replying to @a_zzsl A lot of people ask me how I loosen the fascia in my temple area before doing pinch and roll fascia release, and honestly one of the easiest ways is with a gua sha tool. ✨ The temple area tends to hold SO much tension from stress, clenching, TMJ pain, headaches, screen time, poor posture, and nervous system dysregulation. When that fascia becomes tight and restricted, the skin and tissue can feel “stuck,” tender, swollen, or difficult to work with during pinch and roll. Before attempting deeper fascia release, I like to gently use a gua sha tool around the temples, eyebrow area, cheekbones, jawline, and scalp to help warm up the tissue, increase circulation, encourage lymphatic drainage, and soften the fascia first. This makes pinch and roll techniques much easier, less painful, and more effective. The key is slow, gentle pressure — not scraping aggressively.
