Here is the thing that Freshmen isn’t competing with the 15th man senior. He is competing with the top 8 to 10 man players on the team. If you can’t break the lineup it does zero good for him to sit on the bench and doubt his ability when he can dominate and be a lead guy at JV. Gaining experience being the lead guy and go to scorer is very valuable. Of course this all depends on your program and how well you run your JV or lower teams.
