I was having so many of these episodes yearly I had to go see a neuro, the best for that type of migraine is something preventative to reduce them or eliminate vs an abortive that are a lot stronger and it only helps w/ the pain not the aura. I’ve been on a monthly injection Aimovig for the past 2 yrs and I’ve only had one episode since then!

I had the same thing happen maybe five times ! My hands would do numb, vision became blurry and my speech was slurred . I couldn’t make out what I wanted to say / it was terrifying !! And then the headache hits !!

I had the first one last year and I thought I was having a stroke too. I had two more this year and just went to a neurologist this week at Cleveland clinic. She said it’s aura migraines when the vision is affected. She gave me a prescription med and told me to start taking magnesium every night and ordering an mri. It is soooo scary!

I get those I end up with the alice in wonderland aura migraines. as soon as it starts happening , I get excedrin, caffeine and I take a pinch or 2 of salt obviously good quality for the minerals , sometimes I get a large mcdonald's fry and a coke or dr pepper that helps, a hot shower & after a cold ice pack. when I get nauseous I garden.

@poca: I Been having for the past year it’s not everyday but I have gotten episodes so I went to a neurologist she sent me to get an MRI nerve test and a balance test. She gave me ubrelvy medication for my headache because the headaches are out of this world leaving me with blurry vision and losing

I have been getting them for years, same thing. Lose peripheral vision, see sparkly halos, and then it clearly goes away and the migraine hits. Ibuprofen helps but usually doesn’t go away until after my second dose of 600mg. I went to a neurologist and got and MRI which gave peace of mind. There are some options. neurtec helps me. They may recommend an SSRI for prevention actually, or anti-anxiety meds as needed if the migraine causes panic attacks. Def see a neurologist , there are options, so you don’t have to suffer, they are the worst.

Try taking Benadryl when you feel it coming on it helps me so much and you can take a Tylenol and a Ibuprofen at the same time.

I used to get debilitating migraines that would cause severe nausea, all I changed was adding Celtic salt to my everyday diet…haven’t had one since 🙏🏼

I get migraines with auras almost every single day. I take Emgality monthly, Nurtec as needed, ibuprofen and Tylenol and still sometimes end up in the ER

I got these when I was pregnant with my son! They were horrible! And so random I was mid highlight the first time it happened, the second time I was driving and ended up hitting my dads parked car 😭
