when you build trust with your doctor it makes going through scary situations like surgery so much easier. I did that with one of my doctors. He’s done all 3 of my major surgeries and wouldn’t trust anyone else to do them.

I feel like it doesnt really make sense for you to come in when you aren’t on call just because it’s ur patient. What if you were out of town? idk doesn’t feel very sustainable as a doc

Neurosurgeons are amazing! I had a VP shunt malfunction in December… I was immediately admitted to the hospital, and had a shunt revision the next morning. Who was by my side when I was in the ER? My neurosurgeon 🥹 I realized recently that, I believe, he’s approaching retirement… I could be wrong, but I can’t stop thinking about that. The doctor has been with me for so long. I can’t imagine seeing someone else.
