Agreed, graduated in 2020. I work 3.5-4 days a week. Cleared $150k by my 2nd year out, $175k by my third year out. Not even close to burnt out. I respect my surgeon colleagues but I will not be the one lasering an RD at 5:30pm on a Friday 😌🙂↕️

As an ophthalmic tech, I love working with optometrists 😭 I think all eye doctors are especially important. It was the optometrist that told my dad he had diabetes

Im currently getting my AA at local community college, and i am now debating between going to school for journalism or going to optometry school. Ive always loved going to eye doctor when i was a kid. Im just scared that im not smart enough for it. Ive always struggled terribly with science courses.

I wanted to be an optometrist at one point but was talked out of it by my Mom 😅 I should have stuck with it.

i wanna do this so bad but I have anxiety and like "what if I missed something" and like "did I do it right" thoughts constantly 💔💔 It's gna be much worse knowing the customer already left so I can't even double check 😞

I’m a senior in hs and I’m debating between being an optometrist or an opthamolgist! At first I wanted to do optometry bht now I’m considering medical school. It’s just a lot of people say being an eye doctor is a boring career. And so I’m thinking maybe surgery and doing more stuff witb the eyes would be better? Idk what do u think 😭I don’t wanna do to many years of school

My dream job! Too bad that in France, you're forced to start as a sales optician (BTS OL). I’m in my senior year, but my goal is clinical optometry. Planning to move to Spain after my degree to finally practice it for real!

So i have been lately interested in that field since my priorities are work life balance a good high pay and less stress do you think this field will be a good fit for me or should i go with dentistry or the nursing route and become an np, i love dentistry and wanna be a hygienist for the short run but i feel like dentistry takes a toll on ur body and mental health thats why I’m open to whatever gives me my needs
