It’s not that bad. Just don’t make yourself an easy target. You really gotta watch out for sundown towns and areas with no cell phone service like New Mexico which does have I40

i was 23 when i moved from WI to NC alone in a snow storm. weather was so bad i decided to drive directly south to Nashville and stay a night there. the next day i drove 8 hours on I-40, stopped for gas, rest stops etc--even walmart. & i had no clue back then😳. i left in the morning, and made it off I-40 just after sunset. 🫣
