This is so true. I bought the lie too. My kids suffered terribly. My oldest is doing therapy at 26 and it’s helping him. My daughter just turned 20, and she is finally “her” again. Both still feel awkward talking about their dad in front of me. It’s nearly been 10 years since everything happened.
