@mumsfoodies: Valentines Bakes đ If I loved you Iâd make you this Berry Crinkle Cake 1 x Filo (approx 400g) Softened butter for greasing 60g (1/4 cup) melted butter Custard mix: 250ml double cream 1 x large egg or 2 small / med 40g Sugar 1 x tsp Vanilla paste Frozen berries (I used 2 handfuls) Honey for drizzling If youâre using baklava pastry like me youâll double up the sheets if your filo is a little thicker youâll use one sheet. Preheat oven 180C Get a tart dish or round cake tin and grease the bottom with butter Fan fold each sheet or 2 sheets as shown in the reel, twist the first into a rose shape and spread the others around the rose starting where the last one finished. TIP, cover your pastry you havenât used yet with a tea towel while youâre doing this so it doesnât dry out. Once youâve filled out your tart case melt the butter (about 20-30 seconds in microwave) brush the butter mixture ALL over and in the sides so itâs fully coated. Bake for approx 15 min till golden coloured, keep an eye on it, different filo pastry will cook faster or slower While itâs in the oven prepare your custard mixture by mixing it all together with a fork. Once the tart is golden take out of the oven and pour NEARLY all the mixture over the pastry starting in the middle (the middle section must be drenched in the custard so it cools properly) and then sprinkle the berries and pour the remaining custard over the berries. Bake for another 30 minutes and drizzle honey while itâs warm. Enjoy D 𫶠#valentine #easydessert #EasyRecipes #filo #fyp
