You have to make it simple, base it on core values. Then avoid buzz words at all costs. The simplest little words will throw people off and trigger their prefilled responses that they consumed from the internet without thinking critically

I feel like the left isnt pragmatic enough. They need to be more prepared to take the small wins rather than getting on the moral high horse and speaking down to people. This is rampant in Australia atm. We have a multiparty system; after 9 years of conservative goverment, the centre left are finally in power. But the far left party votes against every they do because “it isn’t strong enough.” I swear some of these people are more interested in being “morally correct” rather than actually making the word a better place.

I feel like a lot of leftists don't have the skill of breaking down the systems in a way the common layman understands. It's a skill worth fostering, especially when it comes to deconstructing others.

I love that you frame it as pulling people along the pipeline. That’s something that a lot of the purity test people are missing. Create the spectrum of leftists. It’s a 12-step concept “attraction rather than promotion”. Love this so much.

I would really encourage anyone on the left who is getting a bit preachy to go knock doors from something or someone’s campaign they feel called to. I was starting to sound a bit too online to my family and friends and then I spoke to the neighbors in my community about things I was passionate about. And i remembered that the point of policy is to make community more livable and make people’s lives better it’s not to be right or get an A
