Can't you just go to community college first since I think they need to accept a certain amount of transfer students? That's how I got into UCLA. I had a 2.1 GPA in high school but a 3.7 in Community college.

there's an amazing community college program in CA thats gives you guerenteed admittance to any UC if you follow the transfer guidelines it used to be called Tag when I was in college like 10 yrs ago

yes to all this!!! UCLA gets 178,000 applications for 14,000 range of admissions!! people need to understand numbers as well!! we don't have enough classrooms and faculty to admit everyone! there are so many amazing students that don't get in bc it's too many applications

I do think this admissions advisor did say if you are bio and your TOP listed EC is debate then it’s a mismatch. If you top is research in bio and then debate is number 4 or 5 that is fine.
