@beyondflorida: A new Florida "fishing resort" is offering canned hunts where fisherman can catch Amazon River Monsters for a fee of $1500. Arapaima can weight up to 400lbs and are predatory fish that have escaped aquaculture during flooding in the past. With so many other invasive species flourishing in Florida, is it really worth the risk? Are any Floridians benefitting from this operation? #fishing #floridaenvironment #florida
That is not fishing or hunting. You are correct it js cruel and not true sportsmanship.

How do they ensure the birds don’t collect eggs and then deposit them in the river?

they have to move them inside all winter theyre not even in the ponds you pointed out right now, thats not the only one in florida and they've had those fish there since atleast 2018 when a couple farms plus a university started studying how to breed them in the United states for the first time ever as aquaculture programs. Its a extremely large and fast growing freshwater fish that can grow in almost stagnant water. Just alot of stuff for you to say about this place when your literally 8 years late on a story
