My god, México has one of the biggest cities in the world! Off course we have MRI machines, maybe not if you are in a little beach town, but if you go to the closest city near where you are, there will be an MRI machine.

An MRI isn't needed to be treated for pain and discomfort . Why couldn't they just take an xray to make sure your knee was stable , treat you for the pain and inflammation , and try to get you home where you can follow up with your care team ?

Ugh girl. That sucks so terribly! But MRI or not, your knee is badly injured and may require surgery, which you would not have done in MX, presumably. Try to get home as comfortably as possible and have it evaluated. So sorry this happened to you!
