@investorgirlbritt: I'm so impressed with my 24-year-old self. I didn't have a lot of money, but I was willing to do what it took to make it work. (Like ripping boards off a barn to create a feature fireplace wall...lol.) I slept on the floor of that property for a year and worked everyday learning how to do to what needed to be done...one project at a time. I was crazy...and crazy motivated not to have to go back to a 9-5 job. It worked. Overcoming challenges builds confidence and self-belief. Those days of living onsite, never traveling, never taking a day off taught me the value of staying consistent. Even when I wanted to quit, and it didn't feel like I was making any progress. Some days I still feel behind. But when I measure from where I started (instead of where I want to be or where others are) I see my progress way more clearly. And I can be inspired by that girl that didn't give up...now matter what.
