100 miles away in 5.8ghz is insane, I didn’t think it was possible without having a high gain directional antenna pointed at it, I imagine the relay station probably runs at a very high output power and since it’s on a mountain it’s still in line of sight, the furthest anyone has received video from an FPV drone is 100km so this is impressive

I’d suggest scanning frequencies with the goggles while the quad is powered off. Then pick a channel that’s sufficiently far from the broadcast signal and doesn’t fall on its harmonics.

it is uncommon for VHF to interfere with 5.8ghz unless it’s unfiltered & transmitted on a very high power. at least you get the news on the “fly” 🤣
