@puy_kea: The Thai Military Escalates Tensions with Cambodia Again The Thai military on Saturday escalated tensions with Cambodia once again by placing containers deep inside Cambodian territory and blocking Cambodians from traveling along their own national road from Pursat province to Koh Kong province in the northwestern part of the country. The placement of some 50 containers began at around 5:00 a.m. on February 7, 2026, in addition to the barbed wire that had already been laid in the Thmor Da area, Veal Veng district, Pursat province, according to villagers and local authorities. The blockages have prevented Cambodian civilians from accessing their homes, shops, household belongings, and their children’s educational materials. Cambodia described the action as a grave violation of the ceasefire agreement and an encroachment on its territory, while emphasizing that Cambodia continues to exercise utmost restraint by firmly adhering to the ceasefire agreement dated December 27, 2025.
