When I watched this movie I always saw that Jules loved him but their promise to eachother got in the way of that. She wanted to pursue her career and experience her early years without distraction and always assumed in the end once the clock finally struck they would end up together. To her it wasn’t an IF im still single by this time I’ll be with you, to her it was I’ll meet you at this time and be with you. Thats why when he finally called but it wasn’t for her she was so hurt. Because just like he kept going after her all those years she kept herself available for all those years because she knew in the end he was the man she’d marry, she just didn’t expect him to find someone else when she never intended to. And yes she was jealous of Kim but not because Kim was the better woman but because she saw what they were supposed to be through Kim. But I truly believed he thought that she would have found someone by the time that clock ended and that’s why he gave up, not because he didn’t love her but because he loved her so much that he could never think any man would never be able to see what he saw in her. In reality she could have had him but she felt guilty because she realized how much she hurt him for all those years and couldn’t imagine hurting him again even if it meant losing him. Don’t get me wrong Kim was a great girl but Jules was always the girl for him. He just gave up right at the finish line while she was waiting at the end of it. 😫

this movie is a prime example of don’t play with someone’s feelings or someone’s heart. Tell them how you really feel because she was his best friend for years and they never made it work and then the minute he gets engaged all of a sudden you realize you’re in love with him. She was gorgeous in this movie, but I was not rooting for her.

The most awakening quote in this movie was when her friend asked her, “Who’s chasing you?” That question alone changed my whole perspective on life. I looked at my life and realized that I was always chasing others who were chasing something or someone else and if I stopped for a second to look back I would be hit with the harsh truth that no one was ever chasing me. This movie changed my life with that one little scene- it was so true
