I don’t understand why people would be opposed to more inclusive designs? If cameras or whatnot disproportionately worked better for a specific group of people, a good designer would re-approach their work to enhance it for more inclusivity? It’s not about entitlement of an invention, your design merit is measured by how successfully it operates; if it can suddenly stop working when a woman or a poc uses it then the design didn’t pass the mark for usability as it’s quite odd that the target group for your design excludes the majority of humans? (Women + poc)

And I bet that if that initial statement was flipped to "If black/brown people invent something, there is no reason to make it work for anyone else", then sooooo many people would be outraged and "wouldn't be am excuse" (which is true, but also both ways)

I heared that is why Rihanna became a billionaire. Make-up industry had a similar problem until Rihanna stepped up and invented her own brand, then when she started making loads of moneh, other make-up brand started to introduce more things for dark skins.
