I was a sociopath 100 percent fact - I know for sure what I was and I was that for as long as I can remember- i cured myself on accident and it feels so good - I am genuinely emotional and caring more than ever- i know what I did to change my brain and it has to do with testosterone highs and lows - three years later and I’m still in my new mindset - it feels great 👍

As a sociopath, I can care for someone, but it’s very selective with who and it always at arms length unless I become obsessed but eventually that will fade out into hated or disinterest once I’m ‘done’ with them.

High school made me a full blown, stone cold sociopath. Genetic influence matters but I never got dopamine rushes from others’ suffering until after high school.

When you really avoid a sociopath for the way they have been acting, and you allow them to choose whether they want to live, their psychology will change. Actually they have come to understand it’s like a switch. The empathy is real but it is selective. It causes action to be made but as soon as it is inconvenient, it’s easy for the to turn off said empathy.

I’ve treated maybe a hundred of these cases in 32 years of healthcare. Retired Colonel(CMO psychiatry) my supervisor was the best I’ve seen at diagnosing. These were forensic cases. Only way we get a diagnosis for this. They’re not coming voluntarily.

Interesting. So that would suggest that in some cases childhood abuse/neglect etc which we know to be the origin of sociopathic behaviours, impacts the development of the amygdala. Would that be because fear creates the amygdala hyjack which may slow its development when routinely not linked to the prefrontal cortex like it would be in a safe childhood environment ?
