Outlawz - Made N****z (1997) Album: Gang Related - The Soundtrack Produced by - Johnny J & 2Pac "Made N****z" is considered to be Tupac Shakur's last single and one of the last music videos he appeareded in before he passed away, made on June 4, 1996. In the American Mafia, a "Made Man" is a fully initiated member. The term itself comes from Italian Mafia traditions. Tupac took this idea and applied it to Black organized crime. By this time in his career, 2Pac had switched his stage name to Makaveli. The lyrics describe how Makaveli and the Outlawz made their way to be untouchable; how they control streets; how the FBI went after Makaveli, etc. Makaveli the Don also adopted his extended moniker from the mob's lexicon, where a Don is a boss or Godfather at the highest level in a crime family. By the end of the song, it's clear that the Outlawz have taken control over police as high in rank hierarchy as sergeant. 2Pac originally had only the first verse for this song but after he heard the Outlawz go in, he wrote the second. The song was also written as part of the soundtrack for Tupac's last movie, 1997's "Gang Related", where he played a police detective involved in crimes with his partner.
