@shikera_0: Helena underwent a long and complicated reconstructive surgery today on her many gruesome bite wounds. She is awake and alert. The hospital reports that all went well. Now, begins a long and stresstul recovery period for Helena. The area on her side where she suffered the deepest bite wounds is large and will be raw for a while. More updates to come on Helena we take it day by day with this precious girl. When we first rushed Helena to the animal hospital, they quickly advised to euthanize. Today, Helena is still alive and just survived a difficult hours long surgery - SHE WANTS TO LIVE. What happened to Helena is that she was attacked by stray dogs on the street after her family dumped her. The dogs tore into her neck, side muscles and her chest muscles. Donations are so needed to pay for Helena’s long hospitalization.
