@awritinghobbit: Since I was twelve, I’ve always wanted to be a writer, when I had no obligations but to sit in my room and write my silly little stories in my chicken scratch handwriting so no one would be able to read them but me. Even then, what I wanted to be when I grew up was so clear to me, and that dream has never since waned; I want to be a published author. The journey is long, but looking at my drag path of stories never fails to ignite my drive. Keep pursuing your dreams and don’t let your younger self down 💛 #writertok #writers #aspiringauthors #writingabook #dragpath
im 11 currently (im too young😓) but people told me any age can publish a book, and im rewriting a novel that I made when I was 7, should I continue it?? (I planned it and everything, I just need to make the drafts)

"He had no intentions of becoming a writer— but his stories were the only he could live in his own world. He turns pages— as if it is his own. His imaginations grew as he drown in them, he burried his dreams as he died with them."
This is how I would describe myself as a beginning writer.

I write stories I’ve been since I was a kid and I’m 16 rn been working on a short story for years I always just add too if when I have time but I miss my characters all day yk what I love it’s that It’s the one thing I have so much control over and no one’s reading it it’s like my characters are versions of me each one has a diffrent peice of me yk what i mean? I think an authors characters represent not only certain cherry picked people in there life and they exaggerate there traits but also so much about the author an other will pick the deepest parts of them and build each charters backround and story and every word around that, through painting we see a man’s emotions and experience through singing through drawing through everything but we also see it in world building in stories and I think it’s so cool that we can unleash and expose ourselves through over stories and no one will ever know yk?

I started at age 7 and I have lost most of my notebooks, all I have left are the stuff I wrote as a teenager; I’m 32 now and insane to think I’ve been doing this for so long

It warms me deeply to know so many people had such a similar experience — you look much more organized than I was. In elementary school, I was writing a story and taped all the sheets of paper I used from top to bottom. I carried it everywhere with me rolled up like a scroll until I moved and it got lost. I love that you’re still writing. Never, ever stop.

I still remember the English teacher who supported my writing. I don't think I'll ever forget her 🥹 She didn't know it, but she was the only adult in my life actively rooting me on
