I think you should apply them a little differently. I have almost the same hair as you do but after I do the volume type spray-I flip my head and distribute the product evenly through the roots with my hand and immediately go to blow drying. I was a little bit shocked when you cut to your hair being brushed right back down to your scalp before you blew dry/added the mousse.

I think try again, less mouse but it just seems like you have long and heavy hair so the volume really wont be there without some layers
