Hi! I know this isn’t your responsibility, and I sincerely apologize for reaching out about this, but I’m hoping you might be able to help me get SoFi’s attention.
I’ve been dealing with an unresolved issue involving a $3,300 wire transfer for over a week now. The sender’s bank has confirmed that the wire transfer successfully left her account and was accepted by SoFi. They also initiated a trace on the wire transfer, and the trace confirmed that the funds are with SoFi. They explained that they cannot recall or refund the wire because it was successfully completed and accepted by the receiving bank.
The problem is that my SoFi account was permanently restricted, so it can no longer receive incoming wire transfers or deposits. Since the funds cannot be credited to my account, I’ve been asking SoFi to return the $3,300 to the sender. Unfortunately, despite calling customer support countless times and reaching out on X multiple times, I haven’t received a real solution. I keep getting told to call again, even though I’ve already done that repeatedly.
I’m not asking for anything beyond what’s fair. If my account is permanently restricted and cannot receive the wire transfer, then the funds should be returned to the sender instead of being held.
I’m not making this up I have screenshots, transaction records, and documentation from the sender’s bank showing that the wire transfer was traced and that the funds are with SoFi. I’m more than willing to provide all of the evidence if it helps someone review my case.
I understand that $3,300 may not seem like a significant amount to a large financial institution, but it’s a substantial amount of money for the average person. This was part of a legitimate business transaction, and the sender continues to ask for her money because the funds remain unresolved. It’s placed both of us in a very difficult position.
If this wasn’t important, I wouldn’t keep calling, posting, or reaching out to people for help. I’ve exhausted every option because this is a serious issue, and I simply feel like I’m not being heard.
I’ve been watching your videos for a long time, and I genuinely appreciate the value you bring to the SoFi community.
