@woodlarkblog: scrap fabric valentines hearts 💛 turning scrap fabric into whimsical handmade valentines for my kids! Here’s a fun weekend project that you can make for your loved ones—I’ve been making a handful of these every year and usually stuff them with wool but this year I decided to use cedar shavings to make little sachets. Many of these are vintage fabric remnants I’ve collected over the years and I’m using an embroidery thread for the initials and also to sew the blanket stitch around the edge. How to: Cut two heart shapes out of your scrap fabric for each heart. Embroider an initial onto the front heart. Sew a blanket stitch around the edge of the heart, leaving a bit open at the end. Add your stuffing: wool, dried cedar and dried lavender are my favorites. Sew the remainder shut! #upcycledcrafts #lowwastevalentines #diyvalentines #valentinesdiy #sewingproject
